Healing Touch (HT) is a relaxing, nurturing, energy based therapy which uses gentle touch to assist in balancing physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. It is safe for people of all ages, and works in harmony with standard medical care to support one’s innate ability to heal.

Janet Mentgen RN. Founder of HT wanted to bring the human connection back into Nursing .Blending the best of Eastern traditions with Western science she developed the standardized curriculum that is now the HTI Healing Touch Certificate Program.

She believed that "HEALING TOUCH is the art of caring that comes from the HEART of the healer and reaches to the person who is receiving help".  Nurses said this work felt like "COMING HOME "! There are NO pre-requisites or prior training needed. This Nursing Education program is opened to ALL health professionals AND lay persons wanting to study and practice energy based HEALING ARTS.

The Canadian Cancer Society has deemed Healing Touch to be a Complementary Therapy effective for help with symptom management and side effects of cancer treatment (ie fatigue or nausea.)

HEALING TOUCH LEVEL 1 is coming to COLLINGWOOD early this fall.
