My hubby and I just got back from an amazing trip to Collingwood from Aug. 22-24th. We went on the Sunset Boat Cruise and the Mary Ward Ship Wreck Boat Cruise. Both were accompanied by Kevin--our boat Captain. Kevin was very friendly, easy-going, very welcoming, and answered all our questions, and had lots of interesting stories to tell us. He was very knowledgeable about the history and you can tell he has a passion for what he does. The Sunset Boat Cruise on Georgian Bay was lovely, and the weather was perfect. We saw a historic Lighthouse on an Island, and watched the sun set in an array of beautiful golden and orange colors. Kevin told us the history of the Lighthouse which was very interesting, and about the ships that originally came to the harbour for shipping purposes. The best part of the trip for my husband-John and I was the Mary Ward Ship Wreck. Kevin, again our trusted and knowledgeable Captain took us out on his boat, zipping along the waters at 40-50km/hr which I loved. We went snorkeling in the clear clean waters of Georgian Bay, and we were enthralled and amazed to see the ship wreck under water--the ribs of the ship, the propeller and the fly wheel. It was very COOL!!!! I was able to touch the fly wheel with my hands--that's how shallow the area was where the ship went down. We thoroughly enjoyed both trips on the Georgian Bay, but the best part was our friendly Captain--Kevin since he made the trip worthwhile. Thanks Kevin for such a lovely time, and making this trip memorable for John and I. Cheryl and John Nevin, Waterloo, Ontario
