An absolutely horrifying experience!!!... I ordered a small sling back pack from a place in the U.S., who I guess decided to utilize UPS to deliver it to Langley, B.C. Canada...I came home one day to find a sticker on my door that said, 'UPS InfoNotice...Sorry we missed you'...along with a InfoNotice # (..tracking number),.. but left blank along a line preceeded with the words, 'Your package was left at:..?? I spent ALL DAY!!!!! phoning around, and phoning, and phoning, and phoning, and phoning, and phoning, and phoning, and phoning, AND PHONING!! . .(I did include here a long list of phone #'s that I called, but BBB would not allow them..), AND SO ON AND SO ON....
All I wanted to know and to find out was, where is my package, so that I can go and pick it up myself and apparently pay a few bucks for custom charges... WELL DO YOU THINK I COULD GET AHOLD OF ANYONE????, . . .NOT A FRICK'N CHANCE!!!!!... All I ever got was computer messaging services that continually said, " for such&such press 1,..for such&such press 2, for such&such press 3, for such&such press 4, for such&such press 5, . . And when you decide and take a chance and throw the dice on pressing a number.. what happens?? . . .MORE OF THE SAME!!.. for such&such press 1, for such&such press 2, for such&such press 3,..And so on, and so on...
When you do eventually do get ahold of someone.. that person is either in the Philippines or in Guatemala.. and they just basically said the same thing that some of the automated messages said, ..and that was, that my package was delivered already and signed for ..in some little kiosk inside of a mall up the street from where I live...??? When I did ask, (the odd time I had the chance)...why the package was delivered inside of a mall.. I got no straight answer...
Long story short, went to the Mall,..THEY NEW NOTHING about any package from UPS,..came back home, tried for a couple more hours to get through to SOMEBODY who could help me,.. to no avail...

....however you want to try to slice it, dice it ..or try as you may to distance yourself from the Fiasco that is operating out there UNDER YOUR BUSINESS NAME AND LOGO!!!.. doesn't excuse you and your pathetic excuse for a corporation from liability in ultimately being responsible for the way things are (NOT) run... That is just a feeble attempt on your part of trying to distance yourselves and/or washing YOUR hands with respect to how YOUR business model is being implemented and carried out...You as a responsible business merchant are ultimately to answer for the way ALL PARTIES INVOLVED who represent YOUR company, conduct their affairs while working under licence that YOU yourself state is owned by UPSofA Inc. If I had representatives (..IN ANY CAPACITY) who ran their affairs under the name of a business that I owned WITH THE SAME INEPTITUDE that these 'independent agents' as you call them demonstrate,... I would CLEAN HOUSE BIGTIME!!!.. These 'Independent agents' are YOUR REPRESENTATIVES!! and not just some far off entities that you have no real control over, or say when it comes to the way that they conduct the very business you yourself profit by. But besides the attempt at trying to distance yourself from the problem,.. it is the fact that there is NO WAY!!!!! that anybody can even remotely have access to a real person that can effectively answer and solve problems . . .You have quite effectively created a business model where when anyone has an issue that needs resolving,.. all they are relegated to are computerized answering services that spew out a lot of non-sensible information, then a diatribe of,.. for such&such press#1, for such&such press#$2, for such&such press#3, for such&such press#4, for such&such press#5...ET ALL .. and when you decide to roll the dice and press a number, it's the same non-sensible diatribe of... for such&such press1, for such&such press 2, for such&such press 3, for such&such press 4 . . .and on and on it goes!! until one of two things happen,..either the female computer voice simply says(without having solved any problems!!), "thank you for calling...and disconnects you or you get passed on to some 'agent' in in the Philippines or Guatimallia who read from a standardized list of preset questions and predictable answers.. or when you present them with a question that's not on their troubleshooting list and confounds them,.. they simply say, "Oh, you need to speak to such&such and redirects you to another phone number where the whole process starts over again!!! . . . THIS ASPECT OF YOUR BUSINESS YOU CAN NOT TRY TO PASS OFF OR RELIGATE TO SOME DEFICIENT AND DISTANT CORNER OF YOUR!!! BUSINESS MODEL... THIS IS A STANDARDIZED ACCEPTED AND PROMOTED WAY THAT UNITED PARCEL SERVICE of AMERICA, INC. HAS ADAPTED AS THEIR ACCEPTED WAY OF CONDUCTING BUSINESS!!.. I worked in the medical field for 34 years and if I had run my affairs as comically and ineffective as you people run yours,..plenty of people would have died! I spent ALL DAY!!! yesterday trying to solve an issue that should have taken 15 mins.
I will in NO WAY be sympathetic to YOUR!! corporate needs and will advertise to anyone within my sphere of influence to stay as far a way as possible from the 'UPS independent agents' as you like to call them,.. but I'm sure that's not a concern to you and won't affect you or YOUR bottom line at all,.. after all, these UPS Agents have NOTHING to do with you, . . . . . . . . right??

Dear UPSofA Inc. … My name is Terry Nilan, and I just wanted to mention in a brief message to you of my appreciation for your forthright response to my concerns regarding your operational procedure with respect to a recent experience I had, with regards to the utilizing of your services…(InfoNotice # 9477 4897 577 3),.. and particularly the reaching out of your representative, a Mr. Roger Brown (Corporate Customer Relations Representative for UPS in Atlanta Georgia).. I found Mr. Brown to be understanding, and sensitive to my need to be validated as a customer, ..Mr. Brown genuinely demonstrated an interest in betterment..and … in seeking a path forward toward fixing problems where they exist,.. empathetic to my plight, and would like to thank him for his professional manner.

My main concern was not just for myself,..but also for quite a number of other people who have expressed themselves on various sites, whom I’m sure, would only like to see an improvement with respect to a little more personalized service along with a kind voice who is there when needed, and who can provide a little help and reassurance.. something we can all use at times..

Mr. Roger Brown gave me his Christian word, that he would be diligent in seeking to tweak that which is needed, to assure a more enjoyable experience when real honest to goodness human beings are utilizing your services. Mr. Brown is a great asset to your organization and his efforts should be complimented.

I will thus be removing all previous negative reviews of your services and will be replacing them with this one. Thank You

I'm sorry for your experience with your UPS package. I'm wondering why you are complaining about THE UPS STORE in Collingwood, Ontario when you are in Langley BC. Unfortunately, THE UPS STORES have nothing to do with the actual delivery of the packages, it is a privately owned franchise that specializes in pack and ship service, printing services, private mailbox rentals and so much more. The handling and delivery of packages is done by the UPS employees in the brown trucks that come out of the local UPS Depot. If you have not received satisfaction with UPS on the telephone, I would suggest that you send an email to custservcaen@ups.com and lodge your complaint there.
